Rear Side Coming Assist

Chapter 5 · Manual page 243

Rear side coming assist includes Rear Cross Traffic Alarm (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RCTB). During reversing, the RCTA monitors for any vehicles approaching from the left, right and rear of your vehicle through a sensor, and provides an alert when there is a risk in reversing. The RCTB is an extended function of RCTA. In addition to providing alerts, the system will perform emergency braking to avoid the risk of collision if the driver fails to take safety measures. If the driver does not take emergency measures, the system will engage emergency braking.
