Energy Recovery during Coasting
Chapter 4 · Manual page 201
ALWAYS be prepared for braking to ensure driving safety. When the vehicle is in a coasting state, the energy recovery function will be activated, and the motor will convert part of the kinetic energy of the vehicle into electrical energy, which is then stored in the high-voltage battery. Energy cannot be regenerated or the regeneration is restricted under the following conditions:
- The vehicle is in N gear (It is recommended never to coast in N gear while driving);
- During torque intervention (gear shifting, tyre skidding, etc.);
- High-voltage battery is fully charged;
- High-voltage battery temperature is too high or too low. Through Central Screen - Settings - Controls - ERS or Central Screen - Settings - Driving - ERS, you can set the following 3 energy recovery modes in the coasting state. OFF: Energy recovery is turned off. LOW: Less energy is regenerated, with long coasting distance. STANDARD: More energy is regenerated, with short coasting distance.
