Charging Requirements
Chapter 4 · Manual page 146
Generally, slow charging is recommended for the vehicle; frequent use of fast charging should be avoided. If a charging station is not functioning, or shows signs of damage, do not use the station, report it to the vendor or supplier immediately. Before charging Prior to using any charging equipment please inspect the sockets, plugs and cables for any damage. DO NOT use any equipment that shows signs of misuse or damage. It is recommended that the charging connector should be connected to the charging socket in the body before operating the charging device. During charging Starting the vehicle is not allowed during charging. Charging operation time will be affected by external temperature. For example: charging time will be extended at low temperatures. Whilst charging the car on rainy days, where possible, please avoid connecting the charger during torrential rain or storms. If excessive water is evident around the charging plugs please use a suitable cloth do dry the area as best possible before removing the waterproof blanking plugs and connecting the charging cables. There is a small possibility that sparks may be generated during the connection and disconnection of a charging device. Please ensure charging takes place away from flammable liquids and gases. High voltage charging or discharging equipment can cause interference with electronic medical devices. When using medical electrical devices such as pacemakers, please consult your doctor about whether charging or discharging your electric vehicle will impact the operation of the device. In some instances, electromagnetic waves that are generated from the charger can seriously impact medical electric device operation. After charging After charging, turn off the charging device first, then disconnect the charging connector from the vehicle body, refit the charging port cap (if equipped) and the charging port door.
