Activation of Adaptive Cruise Control
Chapter 5 · Manual page 251
The adaptive cruise control system is activated by fully pulling down the shift lever once when the following conditions are met:
- The gear is in D;
- The electronic parking brake is released;
- Four doors and bonnet and tailgate are closed;
- The seat belt is fastened;
- The adaptive cruise control switch on the entertainment display is turned on;
- The speed must be above 0mph (0km/h) if there is a vehicle ahead; the speed must be above 6mph (10km/h) if there is no vehicle ahead. After successful activation, the indicator light of the adaptive cruise control system on the instrument pack will be illuminated, its target speed is the actual speed at activation (if your vehicle speed is less than 19mph (30km/h), the target speed of the system is set at 19mph (30km/h)), and the set speed range is 19 to 75 mph (30 to 120 km/h). If the speed of the vehicle ahead is greater than the cruise target speed of your vehicle, your vehicle will maintain the target speed to conduct constant speed cruise; if the speed of the vehicle ahead is lower than the cruise target speed of your vehicle, it will enter the car-following cruise, and the tail schematics of the vehicle ahead is displayed on the instrument pack. In car-following cruise, you can follow the vehicle ahead to a stop. If the stop time is less than 90 seconds, your vehicle will automatically start off to follow the vehicle ahead, otherwise the driver needs to restore the adaptive cruise control system according to the instrument pack prompt; if the car-following stop lasts for more than 10 minutes, the adaptive cruise control function will exit.
