Instructions for Using One Touch Park

Chapter 5 · Manual page 234

You should understand that this system is only designed to assist the driver in parking, and the driver is still the main operator, and should comply with national and local traffic safety regulations, and be responsible for the safety of the entire parking process. You should judge the use of the system based on the overall environment (such as weather, geographical environment, etc.), and assume the corresponding responsibility for your judgment.

  • You should ensure that the system is used in good lighting conditions, suitable weather conditions, on a road with no significant slope, complies with the requirements for safe driving and has sufficient electricity. When the system is in use, the exterior rearview mirror should be kept unfolded, and the front, rear, left and right cameras are in a normal working state.
  • Keep the rearview mirror unfolded when using the function to ensure that the left/right camera correctly identifies the marking line.
  • If the surface of the camera is stained or blocked, the perception capability will be affected, resulting in failure to identify parking slots. Please clean the camera as soon as possible.
  • If no parking slot can be found, please drive as close to the parking slots as possible to identify a parking slot faster.
  • You must always check and confirm that the parking slots identified by the system are safe and suitable for parking, and never fully rely on the system to find a suitable parking slot. The system may misidentify a parking slot on the road, at the entrance of the passageway, in bushes, etc., in which case you have to determine the rationality of the parking slot. The system cannot determine whether the parking slot found is legal or not, thus you have to confirm that the parking slot is legal before starting the parking process.
  • The system only displays the parking slots that the vehicle will be able to park in according to its capability. The availability of parking will vary with the environment, not just with the size of the parking slot. If an obstacle suddenly appears around the vehicle during parking, please take take control immediately, because the system may not be able to brake in time.
  • Due to the surrounding environment, the system may complete the parking prematurely, it remains your responsibility to adjust the vehicle position appropriately.
  • When traveling or attempting to park on a slope, the APA may not work as expected and you need to use it with caution.
  • The system performance depends on the ability of ultrasonic sensors and surround view cameras to detect and recognize the environment. The sensors are limited in recognition ability and range, and they cannot recognize obstacles that are suspended, and small in both volume and width. When there are similar objects in the parking environment, please watch out and ensure that the environment is suitable and safe, and be ready to intervene at any time to take full control of the vehicle to avoid a collision.
  • Always be aware of collision risks, especially for surrounding trees, iron poles, fire hydrants, fire hydrant pipes, stone piers, low steps or stools, low curbs, protruding objects on surrounding vehicles or open doors, roadside fences, flower pots & plants, flowerbed bushes, overhangs, overhanging warning lines and other unrecognized obstacles in order to avoid collision.
  • If the luggage racks or bicycles and other objects are placed on the roof, please pay attention so as not to collide with overhead objects (such as A/C ventilation pipes, etc.) during use.
  • During automatic parking, the driver can judge the distance information of obstacles through the parking radar assist alarm function to avoid collision risks.
  • Although the system has the ability to automatically pause to avoid obstacles, due to the limitations of the sensor, you should maintain an intense concentration to observe obstacles, pedestrians, vehicles and other potential threats around the vehicle, and be ready to brake to avoid vehicles, pedestrians and objects. The manufacturer assumes no liabilities for any accidents, bumps, scratches, etc. due to sudden changes in the surrounding environment or the driver’s non-compliant operations.
  • The APA is recommended for scenarios with standard lined parking slots, and not for mechanical garages, parking slots with irregular diagonal lines, parking slots with U-shaped lines, parking slots with round dot lines, parking slots crossing the road edge, grassland parking spaces, color-coded parking slots, or the places that cannot be recognised due to perception limitations.
  • The parking slots on narrow streets, or narrow parking slots are not always available as the necessary operating space may be insufficient.
  • APA may fail in too narrow parking slot (about 2.75m and below) or due to space limitations.
  • Please try to avoid parking in micro-parking slots, which, due to insufficient parking space, may cause collision risks when the wheels cross the chocks.
  • Do not use One Touch Park if anything, such as a ball hitch, bike rack, or trailer, is attached to the tow hitch.
